Hi all
Just gave the netbook + moving maps a go and works great except it goes into sleep mode when no keys are used for 10 minutes or so.
Does anyone know how to change the setting so it will just stay "ON" until turned off manualy?

also is there anyway to turn the netbook on from the remote touch screen? (this is on a post a few back also)

Regards
GN

Hi, This is how you do it with XP home & XP Pro, not sure of Vista , I have done it but cant remember the exact names, most are the same but may be called something else,

Start / Contol Panel / Display / Screensaver / Power / then set " Turn off Monitor" to " Never" , Then "Apply" / Ok / Ok.

Cheers Des.

do it like this

Control Panel/Power options
Set it as laptop and set ALL the L/H column to NEVER and you wont have any probs.

As long as you have it plugged in of course

I have done this setting with my laptop also --- never had a prob since and used it in this mode for 1 year now

best to have the laptop on a charger also when in the car as it will use more power than if it was allowed to hibernate

i use my netbook for moving maps etc, and find it also handy if you select it never to sleep, even when you close the lid.
