I was always amused with the fascination with the holland track as it is just one of many Historic routes in the Goldfeilds especially since it was largly burnt out in 05.

So I decided to do something about it now i have the technology
waypointing and trackfiling a route from Yellowdine to Rowles Lagoon.

if anyone is interested in the trackfile and waypoints

some of the side trips amounted to nothing - the track to credo can be taken but the one off of that to beetle rock is waaaaay too tough. corrading rock on the way is worth a look. Credo i\s apparantly now DEC owned

any questions i will have a crack at

That is a great offer Davo. I'm definitely interested - I'll email you.

Fantastic photos. I was always told the tracks get bottomless out - was it mainly clay or sand base where you took the wet track pics?

Cheers.

dunno but i got through them no worries with nothing special they are mostly clay

always stick to tracks around granite rocks as getting bogged around them is very easy

Good work Davoee

Its a great track and a most enjoayable run.

Have a close look at some of the rocks near some of the tanks and you will inscriptions from some old prospectors and the like. From memory it was set up to get people from Southern Cross / Yellowdine to the 90 Mile or what we today call Goongarrie.

Its a four day run from Perth and return.

Thanks for bringing it to peoples attention

Phil

Hi
The photos are great and the track looks very interesting. You should contact Damian and do a new Trek report.

Well done.

Cheers
