Hi guys,

Looking at options from Alice to Uluru and planning on Hermannsburg down through Boggy Hole.

Have read that Boggy Hole south is difficult to navigate - does anyone have a track file so I can compare with the map?

G'day Ivan, I've sent a GPX to your email. It wasn't that hard to navigate.

Hi Ivan
If you have no luck, get in contact with me, as I have it saved from our last trip.
We came in from the bottom and went north this time.

Cheers

Stephen

Hi Syd
If you have had experience in soft sand, it will not be a problem at all. Just remember that when you hit the Finke River bed, drop your tyre pressure, and your van even lower. If the going is very soft try about 14psi in your vehicle and 10 - 12psi in the van. Lots of great spots along the way. Do not be fooled by the sign - 65 kilometres to Hermannsburg. Depending on conditions, it will take between 6 to 8 hours to drive. If in doubt, get some Maxtrax. If you are running Ozi and need a track file, let me know and will email it to you. It is not signposted from the Ernest Giles Highway, so it is a little tricky if you do not where to make the correct turn off.

Cheers

Stephen
