Safari intercooler dimensions

Submitted: Tuesday, Sep 02, 2003 at 20:19

Muzza

G'day all, wondering if anyone with a safari intercooler on GQ Patrol knows or has the dimensions to these things as I was planning on getting one made up by A.R.E (liked the look of their work on the website) Have emailed them and they will make one as long as they know the specs you require. Cheaper than Safari too (sorry safari!)

As an aside, i've just fitted a couple of vdo gauges in the dash and for anyone interested they fit really neatly where the clock and cig. lighter are located. Bit neater than a pod...

Cheers

Simon,
The Safari intercooler and plumbing kit was going to cost me $1770 from Cooma Diesel in Fyshwick ACT (fitting extra), the gauges are 52mm boost and pyrometer.

Wow my pyro for $110 VDO was a bargain wasnt it...

Safari Intercoolers are not very large in Volume, AWILL4x4 from here will attest.

He makes custom Intercoolers for GQs based on the DTS one, with larger volume, thus better performance.

He should pipe up if not I got his email addy.

He is in Melbourne.

That email would be handy, to see what awill could do for me. Have you got your intercooler plumbed yet? I'd be interested to know what zoom zoom results it made!
