Article Overview - The Tanami Track
The Tanami Track is essentially a great short-cut linking the Red Centre to the Kimberley. Although once a notorious 4WD track, it is now a graded dirt highway. View Full Article...
We're planning on going from Alice Sp to Halls Ck via the Tanami Track (TT) and want to stop off at Newhaven (AWC run and Birds Australia owned property).

Because this is a lot of backtracking otherwise, we wanted to go into Newhaven along the main access track but then cut out north (through Aboriginal land) and head back to TT / Yuendumu that way.

Has anyone done this and if so could they advise on which roads, conditions, and what permit is required?

Thanks
