I have known jim for 20 years plus, during this time, he helped me through a vicious divorce, and offered advice on electronic projects I was doing, and bounced ideas off each other. We shared a common interest and that was meeting at the local
caltex service station (that was named lezzies lounge) he was convinced that half the staff where gay, and I was there one night when one turned up with her gf, the look upon his face was golden.
He was a true friend, that listened, never judged anyone, and over the years, have spent hours and hours listening to his adventures and enjoying the endless streams of jokes and conversation.
I moved away from the Goldcoast to
Cairns, we kept in touch via email, msn and the phone, and when I went back to the coast for work, the number one important thing to do was meet up and have dinner and a chat.
He will be missed by many and his passing will create a void in many peoples lives.
Condolences to Jan and his family, may Jim (known to many as DJ from his years on the CB radio) rest in peace, and tour the great highway of life.
