Hi Rabbitoh, my son purchased one a few years ago and has been very happy with
it. The only problems being a design fault that allowed rain water to enter the slide-out kitchen drawer and the woefully inadequate way that the jerry can holders were attached to the storage box. I warned him to either beef up the fixing points or relocate the holders before going on his fist trip. He didn't listen and the bolts that fix the holders pulled out of the wall of the storage box. He's fixed both problems himself and hasn't had anymore issues. Good resale value as well.

We bought the explorer model less than 6 months ago. We paid a bit extra and added the solar panel, upgraded to the Honda 20i generator and the rear kid's room. We also got an extra jerry can holder put on the draw bar.

We are very happy with it so far, and have found the customer service from Aussie Swag both before and after the sale to be excellent.

We chose not to get the Ultra, because we decided we didn't need the hot water system (we have a coleman hot water unit), and our pop up shower tent looked quicker and easier to set up than the Aussie Swag shower tent.

I love the kitchen, and the main awning is very quick to set up - only 4 poles and ropes. Plus it can stay attached and pack up with the main tent.

Try and get to a show if you can, because you can compare a few similar types at the one time. Also, if you live near Brisbane, try and visit the Aussie Swag factory.

We have only used it a few times, but you get hot water in seconds. KMart sells them, and if you keep an eye on the price, you can sometimes pick them up cheaply during a sale (although we only found this out after we already bought ours).

Do a forum search on the Coleman hot water unit, and you will get some more information.

Hi

We purchased one on 2004 and have just sold it and will buy another one, higher level of extra's. We are very happy with the unit, seem better and cheaper that similar units that start with KK. I like to be able to tlak to the person that makes them and Aussie Swag are excellent like this. they also are very good at taking on feedback from clients and making changes to the design.

Not sure where yiou are but AS go to most shows. Thye are in Bendigo on 20-22nd November

Hi Rabbitoh,

We have a Rover LX 2009. which is not too different from the Ultra you want.

It is an excellent unit that has been on all sorts of terrain without any problems.

The build quality is first class and the company are easy to deal with.

we are in sydney if you want to look at it.

After 18 months of looking and comparing we purchased a new Rover LX three years ago. Has travelled about 30,000kms with no failures despite some very rough and corrugated tracks and roads . The kitchen is great and good storage under the bed. Really happy with the AS.
