In both the case of the HF and the antenna, it depends on what channels they are set up for. Extra channels in the HF require a crystal and a pair of coils for each, plus tuning; big bucks, but if it has the VKS-737 network channels and a few rfds channels already in it, then it's still worth a few bucks. But the 6801 mkII is still a pretty old and humungous unit, dating back to the 70's, but nevertheless, they used to work quite well. If it doesn't have those channels, then it may cost more than it's worth to set it up.
Terlin flog a multitap antenna with all 4wd net channels and some rfds channels for around $330-400 new, depending on how many taps.
