No Bob we fly next week it takes about 9 days for the boat so will be in time to meet the truck, this is our 6th trip to NZ first time with our own truck though so we have tried to set it up for the conditions that we meet over there, did get a good deal from ARB boys but if i did it again i bet i woulkd get a better deal still have not made many mistakes, which is easy to do if your in a hurry.

Awesome setup there 10 Para, have a great time - lucky bugger!

How much does it cost to send your vechile to NZ? And are there any issues with local rego and insurance and the like?

I think NZ is an awesome place and would love to do the same one day.

Thanks Rhubarb,
To go over the Patrol and the camper about $2,000 to come back about $2,800 there are some issues you can get a carna which lets you drive on your aussie plates for 12 months you have to insure in NZ we are only half through it at the moment and all has gone well give me a note late april and i will let you know because we come back at the end of april that will be the true yest there and back, but a lot of people seem to do it and as you say what a great place to camp in.

Hope you are going to the South Island. If you are , drop into the Trout Hotel at Canvastown , Marlborough . ( approx 50 km north of Blenheim. )The trout fishing there is a good challenge. Regards G.T.
