Hi all,
Does anyone know the Cann River Rainforest Caravan Park?
http://cannrivercaravanpark.com.au/.
It LOOKS like a nice place. The website seems to indicate so anyway.
The contact phone number answers with " No sorry we don't take bookings, and in all the time that I've been here, it has never been full!". She indicated that she'd been there a long time. I'm planning to go in January, peak season and many other
places in the area are full.
many thanks
Marcel

Hi Marcel,
I've never seen it full. It's a nice grassy park beside the highway just over the Cann River on the west side of town. Haven't stayed there but drove in there once looking to have shower and couldn't find anyone. Shower was great. Fairly basic amenities but it was clean. Make sure you take the drive down to Thurra River and
check out the coast. You can also walk to the
Point Hicks Lighthouse. Croajingalong is magic. Enjoy.
TJ..

Stayed there for a night about 4 years ago, was ok, bit close to the highway for a medium term stay, nice access to the river though, recommended from me.

I stayed there in June this year. Apart from the cold, it was great. You book in and pay at the pub just down the road in the town (easy walking distance and great people).
