Canuck

Hi,
I'm thinking of getting a retractable soft top canopy for my holden. What do people think about this type of canopy?

Cheers.

Snowy Rug company in Mansfield makes BRILLIANT ones.. ~$200 canvas...

They are fantastic ideas, we were up top of mtn in Woods Point area, snowing sleet, etc, and were sitting there sheltered, and dry drinkin coffee.

The one mate had on his troopy had clip on sides, thats why we were dry!

Very much worth it, BUT.. you need a roofrack, so that shoots it for me.

Pack everything in the back of the car!

Had a roofrack, the thing was like a parachute... I sold it to Victor Bray for his Top Fueller 4 second drag car for the end of the runs, he just hits a button and the rack comes up, adn the car stops.

Many thanks Truckster.... I also tried the google thing.... I'll give the yellowpages a go, failing that I could always ring the BP and get the attendant to walk over and get the number for me!?!? Now would that be a return to driveway service? ;)

Have a good night

Hey Canuck,
I'm in two minds of doing the same,... I can see the benefit in the way the sliding canopy concertinas towards the cab which will enable me to load my dirt bike into the back for a days riding, but on the downside security would be non existant compared to the fibreglass canopies.... I've checked out the ones at Bluey's ute world on-line http://www.blueys.com.au/acc_slidingcanopies.htm which look pretty good.

Is your holden a tub or trayback ????

Baker& Priem also manufacture sliding canopies... but I think they're for tray's only - http://www.bakerandpriem.com.au/cgi-bin/frontcart/frontcart.pl?command=details&itemid=51

Which sliding-canopy were you looking at ????

Kindest regards

LP

LP,
Yeah I had a look at Bluey's ones and they looked pretty good. For security I figured if someone wants to get in they will. If the sliders have a loackable tailgate the only way in is to slash the canvas.
The holden's a tub. Thanks for the links.
Canuck.
