Looking for a set of all terrain tyres for a 200 series Landcruiser would like BFG'S but I am told that these are not yet available.Currently have fitted a set of Dunlop A22 285-60R-18 but looking for a more offroad suitable tyre. Some have recommended Toyo M/Thompson or Yokos. Can anyboby shed some light on which may be best or when the BFG's may be available?

Won't fit over the brakes but the idea is right Peter.

17" will fit and Toyota sell the steel rims for about $130 ea. Tons of tyre choices for that.

Hi John,

I have the same problem with my VX 200 and am looking at 17'' rims. However, don't make the same mistake I made a few years back, when I took a Disco to the Kimberly's on non factory size tyres.
Damaged 2 tyres on the Gibb river road and could not get replacement tyres in the size I had on.
Being in constant 4wd (like the 200) had to buy 5 new (factory size) tyres to save the diffs. Not a problem if your car has 2wd and 4wd as you can put them on the front. Most small bush tyre servo's only carry factory sizes and generally for models 2 years old.
Good luck and let the forum know how you get on.

G'day pling, For your info 18" BFG's sourced via a friend's relative direct from USA. Even with freight still cheaper than local price[if you could get them]. Strong Aussie dollar helps.Regards john y
