we are heading to edward river / pormpuraaw for the first time this weekend for a bit of fishing and was wondering if anyone has been there recently and could offer any advice on the area? road conditions, fishing tips etc

any advice would be greatfully received

there's a great Trip Report on the 4wd Action Forum By Bushie who went through there last year. If you're interested, go to the forum and in the search box up the top, type in Bushie Cape York. The Pormpuraaw/Kowanyama bit is on page 2. I found it a good read and his report is really thorough.

Wico, friends came back from there about 2weeks ago,road was being graded on Musgrave Pompuraaw section, fishing was excellant, plenty of Barra, they usually camp down at the Coleman River,to wet to get in, camped on beach in town & travelled down coast by boat to the Coleman, I have never been there hope this helps.
