Hi All,
I have run a pipe and tap from the water tank on the Jayco to the front draw bar. However as it relies on gravity, I can only use the top 15 or so litres.
I would like to know how I can wire it up to run from the kitchen tap pump and also the plumbing so it can access the whole tank.
Can anyone help with a diagram for wiring and hoses.

Thanks,
Steve

hi phamtom
you do not need any wiring
just install a t-piece in the pipe between the pump and the kitchen tap and connect your existing auxillary tap/ pipe to the t-piece and then when you turn on the auxillary tap the pressure pump will feed the auxillary tap continously until its turned off -simple as that and i'm assuming your kitchen tap pump is an electric pressure pump
cheers barry

Hi Steve,
As you have been advised already you do not need to plumb and wire in another pump.

Just hook into the line after your existing pump between the pump and sink tap, matters not where as long as it is pressure side, so just make it in a convenient place to work on it, and run this new line to your tap on the A frame.

Have included a pic for you. As you have already plumbed in the tap then I assume you know where to get the parts.

Hi Bruce,
This has turned into the ususal 'not as easy as it sounds' type job.

I have put it all together and it turns out that my sink tap has a switch on it to activate the pump. Therefore the front tap doesn't work unless I turn on the sink tap.

Any suggestions?

Steve

Hi Steve,
You could run a switch and put it beside the tap on the draw bar provided the sink tap is actually a tap and can be turned off. Your last reply here makes me wonder.

What I need to know is whether the tap on the sink is actually a tap or just an open spout which emits water when you turn the switch on.

If you have a tap at the sink then a second switch near the draw bar tap will work OK. If it is an open spout type of setup then you will have to change that for a tap for it to work or fit a second pump which runs the new tap only and a switch for it near the new tap.

Yes these jobs can get complicated sometimes. It is easy for me as I am a plumber but I often forget that not everybody knows about these things.

Steve my email address is alanvale at midcoast dot com dot au so if you want to talk to me in detail send me an email and I will help you as much as I can.

My caravan has a pressure pump which if turned on pressurises the whole system so that any tap will work any time so long as the switch is turned on.
I assumed you system was like that.

Cheers, Bruce.
