Just my sense of humour - they (the film people) are offering up to $8,000 for a vehicle similar to yours....

Ron I dont have all the answers to your query but I dont think the 2F 4sp was introduced in Aust until 75 .Vehicles with a 2f also have a slightly modified bonnet to accomodate the 2F air filter.
Of course its highly likely the old F motor and 3sp were ditched in favour of the high tech set up that resides there now (0:

Try ringing the rego branch. Although the rego papers may not have detail and compliance plate is missing, they should have both chassis and engine numbers. But if it doesn't have compliance plate, how do you know you bought the right truck?

Ronsdream,

The 4 speed was not intoduced until sept 72 in the Fj45 and then only a few came in until 73. The 2F was introduced in the entire L/c range in Jan 75. Give me the Chassis number and I should be able to get you a date. The chassis number is stamped into the left hand fdront chassis rail.

What sort of indicators does it have. Are they round, rectangular one color or Suare two color? We have so little time to enjoy our land

the R.T.A tells me no compliance plates on any cars befor 1970 or there abouts ,
thats why its not there,
as for the 2f motor and 4sp. guessing its an upgrade (happy with that :) )
also had front end upgrade , reason why it looks more like a 75 then a 67 model
so all solved now
thanks to all who replyed for your help
cheers
