Darren

Does anyone know if the 370 (or is it 420?) litrs of petrol required for this track is realistic for a 6 cylinder petrol vehicle?

Darren I am going out that way later this year. From my experience in the Simpson and assuming that you allow fuel for around 1400kms I would suggest a 4.5 petrol cruiser would use around 300 litres or maybe less as this trip is not as hard as the Simpson. I drive a 3.5 auto Pajero and plan on getting around 6kpl and only intend taking about 240litres

A mate of mine up the road heard the local Aboriginal community out near the AB hwy was going to set up a fuel station on the track sometime soon. Anyone else heard this? We're heading out there next year and can't wait.
