intercooler

Tony
I'm want to add an intercooler to my 80 series but the cost of i/c kits is really to much. I was thinking of having my local radiator
shop
make one up from alloy radiator core and plumbing it in myself. This maybe not quite as effective as a $2400 job but should be better than none at all. Has anyone tried this and, especially for an 80 series - where did you run the pipes for the i/c if fitted in front of the radiator? Can anyone see any problems doing it this way? Of course there is a turbo already fitted! TIA
