Dog Friendly Caravan Parks - South Coast NSW

Submitted: Friday, Nov 11, 2011 at 11:25

garrycol

I have had a small campervan that I have had for a little while and want to give it a try out to see how it goes and to work out what extra gear I need to fit it out.

I am in Canberra and want to head down to caravan park on the south coast (Ulladulla to the Vic Border) that is on the beach somewhere. However I have a dog that is 14 1/2 and is too old to put into care so I want to take her with me. She is almost blind and deaf and will sleep most of the day but will enjoy the change of environment and smells.

Can anyone recommend a dog friendly park by the ocean between Ulladulla and the Vic border.

Thanks

Garry

hi Garry,

Try Kioloa Beach just in between Ulladulla and Batemans Bay.

Unpowered sites practically on the beach and powered opposite.

Nice, natural park and great for doggies. Great spot.

Garry,
I have seen dogs at The Zane Grey caravan park at Bermagui. Which for you is a short trip. The park overlooks the bay and is a short walk to the beach. This was a little over a year ago so not sure if they allow dogs now but it would pay to give them a call.

While not a caravan park, Mystery Bay just south of Narooma is dog friendly. Dogs are even allowed on the beach. Bush camping and at ten bucks a night(couple) leaves more for the esky/fridge.

Highly recommend Mystery Bay, top spot. They have cold outdoor showers and toilets. Area run by local council.
