Forum you use a bit more fuel when used but it spends more time in direct drive third and keeps the temp down. With the old boat (only 600kg) I use to use it in hilly terrain, and if I need rapid overtaking.
Mate It could be worthwhile asking that question on the Jack
forum, but my advive would be to fit and aftermarket cooler to save grief later on, heat is the no1 enemy of autos, and its not and isuzu box but a GM one unfortunalty.
good to see the Jack still going well, mine now has 196000 ks and no major issues, the ce light is on so will most lilely need a new maf or EGR valve is seized.
But still gives good economy, recently done 337k on half a tank.
