I bought one of those solar rechargeable batteries for my I phone from Ebay a week ago, cost $30, and found that the solar recharging functioning wasnt working.
So the seller happily sent me another, but nope, this one dont work either.
I sent them another email and they got back to me tonight.
It seems the batteries capacity is 1900maH and the little solar panel on the battery is 40maH(Well thats how the seller has explained it to me.)

If Im doing the maths correctly ,it will take 47.5 hours of sunshine to recharge the battery to full capacity.

In the pic it looks as though the whole of one side of the battery is a 50x50mm solar panel, but after examining it,I think those tiny dozen or so 0.5mm strips are the solar panels.
Im a bit disappointed as it recharges the phone quite well if you recharge the battery from a mains source rather than relying on the solar function.
Im taking the refund they are offering.

Hi Ross,
I have a mobile power stator for my Iphone, It holds a full charge and you just plug it in and in 5 min the phone is fully charged. it takes 4 hours to charge back up using 12v or 1 hour using 240v. Can buy the at BigW for around $20.00
