Hi..

i'm trying to find high quality custom made sheepskin seat covers to suit a 100 series landcruiser

i have tried seaching the web but am unable to find anywhere where i can actually go and see \ touch them and for the sort of money they cost i'm not prepared to simply order over the net, there are a lot of what seem to be quality manufacturers but they all only have web sites...

i live in melbourne and would appreciate any advice on companies where i can see them and any ideas on cost ??

thanks

steve

Hi Steve,

There is a fantastic small company in Burwood, Highway - Ferntree Gully [opposite the pub] that make and fit outstanding sheepskin seatcovers.
In my previous life I drove a Commodore and had them made and fitted. They were the best I have seen. Not cheap but beatifully made.

If interested, I will email you the address as I don't know if FTG is too far for you.

thanks for the reply, i am certainly interested and FTG is not a problem, i was hoping to get a reply from someone who had had actual experience with both the covers and the company

the cost is not the major issue, it's more about finding a quality product

sounds like this could be just the thing.

i understand the previous life thing too... afterall "life begins with mud"... lol

you can email me at mudman2@bigpond.net.au

many thanks

hi and thanks for the reply, yes i generally do the same, but in this case i was hoping to find someone with personal experience who could recommend someone as good quality one's aren't cheap and poor fit \ quality one's can cause more damage than what they cost..

thanks

Hi Mudman2
You could try "Alana" I think it is they have a show room etc in Hoddle st Abbotsford
they would probably have some stock, they are also sold in lots of auto shops.

I have a set of there "front bucket seats" medium quality of the rack
used ever day as a chippy & offroad , whilst there not the ducks guts in covers
I cant see the value in paying top $ as the are a protector & will all get dusty etc.

I have just got in from the high country so I will try & find the Address etc & reply tomorrow.

Cheers

Hi Steve,

the place in FTG is Customade Sheepskin Products, 819 Burwood Hwy FTG, showroom phone 9758 1440, factory phone 9758 1191.

Owner is Graham Potter.

I have had 3 sets of front seat skins made, GQ, GU & Magna and he does a bloody good job. But don't expect good covers to be cheap. You want quality, you pay for quality.

Happy 4 wheeling.

hi John..

thanks for the response, so far that makes 2 votes of confidence for the FTG business, sounds like it might just be what i'm looking for.

as for the cost.. i'm a firm believer that you only get what you pay for and if it's cheap there's a reason for it.. my first priority is for quality not cost ..

many thanks
