Prado diesel transfer lever

Does any one else who owns a Prado 120 series 3lt tdi auto have any problems with the transfer lever vibrating all the time or is this normal(1st diesel 4x4).The only problem iv'e found with a brilliant vehicle.

They all vibrate evgen the Petrols and the older model as well. Just don't have things resting against it and then there will be no noise if that is what is bugging you.We have so little time to enjoy our land

Yes quite normal. You must remember that a diesel has over double the compression ratio of a petrol engine, hence vibrations are more noticeable. I've found that if an e-tag is fitted to that vehicle it's prone to vibrate and sounds like a dashboard rattle. I agree it's a brilliant vehicle.

I have a 3.0l TD Auto Surf, similar running gear to the prado, and the same thing, but yeah normal, if you have a manual TD you have two sticks vibrating! ;-)
