Who put this there? (Geraldton Bore EO Sticker)

Submitted: Monday, Jan 05, 2004 at 02:20

wazza

The Geraldton Bore is on the Hunt Oil Road where it intersects the Gunbarrel Highway (or so I was just reading). There is a sticker on top of the bore cap. An Exploroz Sticker. Picture of it in 4wd Monthly Feb 2004 edition on page 105.

Question is ?? Which one of you guys put it there?

Magazine publishers are getting more and more deceitful - how on earth can they justify a FEBRUARY issue when today is the 5th of January?

I remember buying a June issue ofsome years ago - it ran a competition which ended at the end of May that year. What a joke!! I was going to write to them, but then, what's the use?

ExplorOz Team - David replied:

We do tend to put stickers in the visitor books, sometimes we leave a little collection of merchandise in the visitor book holders and I guess this may be how the stickers get around. Now I know we put one on a sign in the Canning - We also wrote a note about a previously closed track that we had just travelled so we used the sticker as a sort of sign off on the note to let people know who put the note on the sign.

It is hard to know if stickers should be placed on things or not - I guess it depends on what the thing is - What do you all think?Regards

Please David!!

Stickers on vehicles? thats a personal choice.
Stickers on scenic spots? thats an invitation for every body to put their logo on everything in sight. No thanks. One upsmanship will have billboards on the bomb roads.
