Motorola 9505a network problem

Hoping someone can help.

I have a 9505a satphone that will not connect to the network using a prepaid next G simcard. The card is activated for international roaming and I have tested it by ringing my daughter in America.

The message displayed on the satphone is "invalid account".

Any help would be appreciated.

they dont work on prepaid sim cards. They will work with a next G sim card but that sim has to be on a plan

The new sim was supposed to be activated but when I just rang telstra they informed me it wasn't so you put have me on the right track.

All is good now.

It is a bit of a joke though when they tell you they have listened to their customers and all new sims on a plan are activated for roaming.

Hi Rockape,
I too had exactly the same problem as you with exactly the same resolution.

Mine was even more frustrating, I have a Telstra Business Account Manager I can ring anytime of the day or night to have things done.

I explained over the phone one day exactly what I wanted and exactly why I wanted it setup the way I wanted it setup.

Still got it wrong and it still took a week to fix.
