Black tea ??? No ! ......tea with milk (long life is ok) bit of honey...Yes please, unlimited cups.

Coffee....one good cup per day. None of that instant stuff, if possible.

Can never drink too much tea IMHO, especially on a chilly morning, after exiting the swag to stir the embers of the overnight campfire into life.

Don't regret growing old. It is a privilege denied to many.......

Sorry Fred I have to disagree. You certainly can have too much tea and or coffee. Especially on those cold nights when you have sat around the fire sipping away until late. Then retire to the swag and get all nice and cosy- only to be reminded of just how many cups you have had by your screaming bladder!cheers, doc.

We boil the dingo for coffee in a bag on the road and green tea or black tea at other time for me. Oh and real coffee from our expresso machine when we are at home.

Except at beer o'clock

Axle, I have replied to you in the pet hate thread about the Dmax.

Geez mate your doin' ok, you won't get it.......

If you are male and drink coffee regularly, at least six cups per day, your chances of developing prostate cancer will be lower, and your risk of getting the more lethal form of prostate cancer that has spread to the bone is 60% less than men who never or rarely drink coffee, say scientists from the Harvard School of Public health.

I love a billy tea with damper and golden syrup off course! Mind you, a fine cappuccino with chock sprinkle is pretty good if made with some freshly ground North Qld beans - black mountain to be precise.

Kind regards

Strong white tea for me no sugar - but it has to be billy tea with a handful of tea leaves dropped into the boiling billy and boiled for a bit and then taken off the fire to settle.

I tap the side of the billy to encourage the tea leaves to sink, although I think the real effect is to bring the punters with their pannikans.

Just prior to pouring the first cup, pour half a cup of cold water in and the rest of the tea leaves sink leaving perfect tea. It's a pretty poor old day camping if I don't have at least 3 or 4 cups to get me going!

Coffee heartstarter for breakfast, tea for the rest.
Camping is the only time I use actual tea leaves nowadays.
Beer for a Sundowner of course!

What ever someone else is making is good :)
Moroccan mint tea, mild green tea, ginger and honey tea, spicy chai. Double hot chocolate, sweetened condensed milk coffee with pack of tim tams if I'm feeling naughty.
Don't mind a teaspoon of veggie stock in cup of hot water or cuppa soup.
Always nice to end the day with a cuppa :)

Lapsang souchong is good around a campfire, or Russian caravan tea. But then so is Earl Grey, or straightforward billy tea.

What about some "Sleepytime" just before hitting the swag?

The same mob that make S'time (Celestial Seasonings, I think they're called?), used to make a tea called "Morning Thunder". Had a charging bison on the packet, from memory, and really made one feel like a.......errr, a charging bison, or buffalo.

Can't beat a Cup-a-Soup on a cold, windy day either, with a couple of slices of wholemeal, or multi grain toast, to dunk with, or even add as croutons.

Now I'm all hungry again.........

Bob.

Hi all,

For me billy tea.

My mate Dave is so keen for a cuppa in the morning, he boils the billy the night before, fills the flask, then empties it into the billy in the morning so he gets his cuppa faster.
I call him Desperate Dave.

You've got a point there Mick.

I must watch him because I'm usually a recipient of his fast cuppa's - couldn't stomach a hot water bottle refill - ugh.
