Anyone used their own boat at El Questro?

Hi everyone
We are planning a trip for later this year which will have El Questro as our turn around point. We were there a few years back and promised ourselves a longer stay there one day. We are set up to take our car topper and electric motor but would first like to get information about the practicalities of using a boat there. We've phoned for advice, which was a somewhat helpful, but would like to talk to someone with first hand experience fishing there in their own boat.

And i'd be packing more then just the electric motor for there.

Years ago, no boats were allowed near the big house. Things may have changed, but doubt it as they wanna make money off everything and nothing is free around there. But you spoke to them so you must know.

Pentecost in a boat is great fun. Either north or south of crossing. 30Lb barra all
around there.

Yes camped there for a week and had our own boat there with no problems. They didn't even charge us. Great place and good fishing, That was back in 1975 though. Don't think I would like to go back.

The Pentecost down by the GRR crossing was a great place for barra many years ago and probably still is, but I hear the crocs (salties) infiltrate through to there these days. Worth checking locally first.

The Chamberlain at the back of the old homestead - or right below the new homestead these days, may be a better option - big section there used to be fairly productive for bream and barra. Don't know if they let you in that area though - ask El Questro first.
