Annexe Matting

Hello All
Hoping for some advice on matting. Just purchased rubber coated PVC matting from reputable firm not cheap, however after just a couple of days use we have noticed the rubber lifting very easily. Is the woven matting more durable.

Buy 3600mm wide 70% shade cloth from Bunnings and fold it in half, stitch around the edge, sew across the shade cloth in zig-zag manner to stop the two halves slipping on each other makes one of the best annexe matting going. Cheap, light in weight, folds up easily and importantly easy to clean if gets muddy.

We use 90% Shade-cloth 3.600 wide cut to length and cut to the width of the area of the annex, No need to double it up or sew, Pegs will push through easy, the left over piece of 1.2M wide can be used elsewhere, eg Made into a bag to carry the Sullage hose or the Water hose and fittings, Rope bag, Peg bag, heaps of different uses.
Ours is the length of the annex plus the draw bar, this gives some where to stand, shake off the dirt or sand and wipe your feet.

We have the woven matting which is very good in terms of sweeping and keeping clean but it is quite heavy. If we were going again we would also go down the path of shade cloth. (Also cheaper to repalce when the mosquito coil burns a hole in the matting)

We used to use shadecloth and found it handy. But more recently we bought the CGear matting and think it is wonderful. Its main feature is that dust and sand will settle through it but can't come back up through it - due to some magic which involves dual layers. So your feet stay nice and clean!

Does CGear have to be pegged down? We have had the rubber type matting for over 10 years which is excellent and doesn't blow around but is very heavy and not easy to clean.

We also use shade cloth. good on sand, which falls through. Shakes clean, and grass grows through the least shady type.
