Where to stay? Recommendations needed.

We are only weeks away from heading off on our month away and was hoping someone on here had a camp recommendation between Broken Hill and Leigh Creek? And would we need to stop once or twice between these 2 towns?

Thanks for your help.

Katie

Hi Katie,

We stayed in the van park at Orroroo a few years ago and found it a nice little place but not sure how far you want to travel in one day.

Heather

Good suggestion for Peterborough for your first stopover, then to Hawker for your second stopover. There are many creeks etc for free camping once you leave Orroroo and head north.

Cheers enjoy your trip. P&J

Hi Katie,

I have stayed at Rawnsley Park Station which is about 20K short of Wilpena pound and found the sites spacios and very accessible.

Can get busy in school holiday times etc I believe.

There is also a caravan park in Hawker if you are not going via Wilpena although there is plenty to see in and around Wilpena also.

Cheers, Bruce
