snowy river crossing at snowy track

Has anyone crossed the snowy river right near the border (snowy track). I have been getting conflicting reports wether it can be done, something about a ford that may have been washed away... Any feedhback would be appriceated

It was ok when I last crossed it 35 years ago on my honeymoon.

Not to sure what its like now tho. Probably gone the same way as the missus(ex).
