What is these grey nomads
If at free camping sites if the bins are full they just put rubbish on top , please take it with you until it can be placed in an empty bin.
They won't slow to allow traffic to pass , even on overtaking lanes , please slow to at least allow transports to pass at the first opportunity ,they are working nomads are not!
I have seen a nomad who refueled went into the service station brought lollies & news paper but left owing $90+ . We travel & love our country , I enjoy ExplorOz its a great site
so let us all keep it that way bruce 3172

3 weeks ago at innamincka a couple came roaring into the town area in their late model falcon and jayco van dust everywhere and parks across the pumps to fuel instead of waiting his turn, moaning about the price of fuel the poor condition of the strez track and the damage it was doing to his car and van and no mobile phone service in the area.
inside the shop she yells at the girl at the till and demands fresh milk and bread and the girl (with a smile) says if they would like to wait a few weeks she would organise it just for them. what do you do with them they are on a timetable and dont get in there way..

We have found types like them in the local van parks one lady told my wife who was minding her own business to stop what she was doing and watch her husband back in their van while she goes and looks for the water taps and yells at my wife for not doing as she told her.
And why cant they get it down the hole at the Dump point or at least clean it up when they miss not just drive off .....

G'day Bruce,

I hear where you're coming from but I don't think this problem is the sole domain of the GN! Last Tuesday I walked out the front and someone has thrown out the contents of their last McDonalds meal all over the road, bag, wrappers, two drink containers and at least half a burger and the fries to go with that. I don't think they wre nomads!

I just find it hard to imagine that it should be so hard for these people to do the right thing - surely they know what that is? I really think there is a crossection in our community that just don't care and age is no restriction. They get away with it and nothing bad ever happens so why would they change!

Kind regards

Theo

we are retired and lucky enough to be touring this great land of ours. When we stop for our 2hrly break and boil the billy, while denny is getting food ready, i go around and pick up rubbish ( rubber gloves, pickup grabber and large rubbish bags ) a lot of toilet paper and especially disposable NAPPIES and the like. If the rubbish bins at pull offs are overflowing, we take it with us till we can dispose of it properly... we have got our friends to do the same, so while grey nomads may be the culprits, it's not ONLY them......lazy pigs can be any age, So don't just blame the grey nomads, that's just being ignorant
