Well it's planning time again.

Between 26th August and 5th September the Outback Air Race is on again.

For those who do not know or are interested in finding out more info about this the website is here.

The race route this year is Broome, Emma Gorge, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Sweers Island, Cooktown, Undara, Shute Harbour. So if you are around these areas at this time then don't forget to look us up, actual dates are on the Outback Air Race website.

The Outback Air Race is a fund raising event along the lines of the Variety Bashes but instead of being in cars it's in aeroplanes. The air race raises money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

My partner, Belinda, and I will be participating in the air race for the fourth time.

If you have a look at our website you will see our past history with the race.

So to the main part of this blog, we are looking for sponsors. Sponsorship is by way of donation to the RFDS and can be done through the Outback Air Race website.

If you are interested in making a donation please let them know that you are supporting the Whitsunday Wookies fund raising efforts.

Also we do keep a list of all those who make a donation supporting our fund raising efforts on our website so please let us know as well if you want your name and/or website on our list.

If your a business and would like your logo on the side of the aircraft we need you to make a donation of at least $100 and send us a logo sticker not larger than A5 size, email us for the postal address to send the stickers(2) to.

When we get a chance to update this blog throughout the race we will do so but you can also see the latest via the Outback Air Race website.

Thanks for reading.

Cheers
