BACK ON BOARD after a stint in paradise

well I'm finally back online and having a look what the explore oz mob have been up to over the last few weeks!
I have missed the
forum, but it was barable due to the fact I was in my opinion sailing around what I can only describe as heaven on earth!!! The Mentawai Islands off the coast of Sumartra!
Surfing/fishing/eating and drinking Bintang on a deluxe boat for 12 days and treated like a king.
8 mates living a dream that was hatched at high school finally came together in what was undoubtly the greatest adventure I have experienced in my 33 years out of the womb!!
If you get a chance to visit this remarkable place, do it soon as the corperate dogs are about to start resorting the islands up!
But the 34 degree days and 24 degree water temp could not last forever and I am now sitting in a
Canberra hotel, it is 2 degress and I am freezing my preverbials off! Off to Libyan Embassey in the morning to get my visa, and off to Africa for 5weeks to work my but off in the desert! At least it will be warm!
I MISS MY 4WD AND CAMPER !!!

You lucky, lucky bastard! Nice to see you survived all the hardships. I suppose you deserve a bit of special time to make up for the all the times you have to be away from home. I think you made a spelling mistake in you last sentence. It should have said, I miss my "wife" and "child" in there somewhere!
We will be off on our next adventure to the Pilbara when you get back.
