Took the truck to Michael, my favourite and nearby auto electrician to have a Tekonsha Prodigy contoller fitted. Some day soon the trailer will be ready and in the interest of safety on dirt tracks, not to mention my inexperience with towing, the power brakes will be useful.

After a fair amount of homework and talking to people, the points were mounting in favour of the Tekonsha. Finally, Michael said that this is the only one he installs so that clinched it.

I hope to pick up the trailer tomorrow and can then test it. The trailer builder is very experienced with towing large and small vehicles and will assist with adjustment when I take delivery.
