This Grasstree should not have survived, I transplanted it in my backyard about 5 years ago and it now has again sent up a new spear to flower.

The plant originally had two trunks and one died when I transplanted it. The whole plant looked really, really sick so I though there is nothing to lose here and set fire to it, well the out come was the Grasstree started to show signs of recovery and looked better and better as each year passed.

I believed it would never seed again after all that time but here it is and I would like to share some photos of it starting to flower. Nature is an incredible thing.

I did not think it would survive let alone flower but as you can see it is one healthy plant.

In the background there is another plant that I shifted a madagascar palm that my old dog had plenty of respect for, you can see the thorns and she had a thing about chasing anything that moves into that garden, problem was it took her awhile to work out why she got ripped up a little chasing a skink.

I thought I was only dumb but I have now been told I am an armchair expert. Quite chuffed about that I am.

The Burdiken at full noise.
