I took photos of some of the wildflowers we saw on the day walk to the Summit of Hartz Peak in Southern Tasmania during the last days of January.
Despite very cold, windy conditions there were many plants flowering, providing dots of colour on the landscape.

The photos below were taken at a variety of locations, mostly on walks in the alpine areas on our walks

Lovely photos as always Heather. The plant with the little white star flowers is a cushion plant, and the last photo (mauve 4 petalled flowers) is a trigger plant. Now a question - could I please link this blog to the Wildflowers, Photos blog/list? Would be good to have some Tassie plants in there.
You sound as though you are having a wonderful time - I'm just a tiny bit envious!
Cheers,

sure Val I would be happy for you to do that as I always enjoy looking at the threads or blogs about wildflowers. We thought the little whilte flowered one was a cushion plant but weren't sure. Not sure whether I can edit the names of them but I will try.

We are having a good time and Tassie has so many beautiful places.

Regards,

Heather

Glad you enjoyed Tasmania with its variable weather. I think the names of some of the flowers are: Top Row Left Pimelea, Top Row Right Donatia novae zelandiae, Mid Row L Sprengelia, Mid Row Centre Cyathodes, Mid Row R Pimelea.
