Hi Heather,
looks like you guys are having a "cool" time of it... But that is Tassie for you.. lol.! Also looks as if your biggest expense for the trip is going to be all the fresh produce (and 'his' beer lol.). Thanks for the update.
regards

Hi Fred,
yes we sure are giving the Tassie food a thorough sampling wherever we go. On Bruny Island it has been chocolate fudge and raspberry icecreams, both of which are pretty good.
The only berries still in season here are strawberries, unfortunately.
Cheers,
Heather

What an interesting blog and very well written. I grew up in Tassie but you are going to places I've never been to. Can you tell me what size is your van? Looking forward to reading about the rest of your trip.

Hi Peter,
Thankyou for you nice comments.
Our van is approximately 19 ft long (the shortest Jayco sterling outback model). We feel there are so many places still to see in this beautiful State and only have another week now, so time is running out.

Heather

Hi Heather, as always a very interesting and informative read! I'm afraid you haven't talked me into putting Tassie on my list of places to visit, beautiful as it is... I am a 'cold frog', and could not put up with cold, wet, windy weather for that length of time! Our travelling companions 'did Tassie' some years ago, and told us Lake St Clair was the coldest place they had ever been, and that was summer too!.
Thanks for a great read, I always enjoy your blogs/diaries.
Regards, David & Hazel

Thank you David and Hazel.
Tassie is such a beautiful and interesting place though...and you could always get powered sites for when you were 'inside', run the heater as we did, and rug up with plenty of appropriate clothing to keep warm when out and about. Keeping active also helps to stay warm we discovered!
I have neglected the blog for the past week or so but once we are home will get back and complete it...hopefully next week. We should be home later on today, if the torrential rain on the South Coast doesnt prevent it.
Regards,
Heather
