Our self-imposed departure date is looming and we are surrounded in the house and garage by piles of "things" all of which need to be fitted into LC 100 (ACT rego)! It must be possible to do this however, as we are not following our usual pattern of towing our trusty Cavalier CT this year, the task of accommodating these "necessities" is daunting! Yes, for those interested, we will be tenting it!

LC 100 has evolved to what we hope is a sufficiently well kitted-out rig for this trip. She has air bag suspension, long range fuel tank, air lockers and a winch that we've not yet needed! She's got a Barrett 950 (Mobile 3171), UHF and duel battery system etc. She has an 85l water bladder that a friend who was examining the vehicle today noticed was leaking. Hopefully, a liberal dose of Tarzan's Grip and patches has fixed that!

LC 100 has taken us, towing a trailer, without incedent twice through the Simpson and the Hay River track, along the wonderful Kidson Track, through the glorious Rudall River National Park, along some of the CSR, the GRR and north to Kalumburu. We trust that she will keep up the good work.

We hope to update this blog where and when we access the internet. We plan to treat you to one or two of our photos but to start, here is a picture of someone who sadly can't come with us. He, however, will be having a fabulous farm holiday!

Have a great trip look forward to further updates. The leaking water bladder would be of concern, even tho it's been repaired. Will be in ACT in Oct 2009 for 2wks.

Thanks for your good wishes. We are testing the water bladder. If it's leaking by Alice, we'll probably ditch it and get a new one (hopefully). Megan
