Great read, great adventures and a wonderful puppy. I don't know who enjoyed themselves the most. All those friends that bailed out on your NYE trip to Cameron's Corner will just have to be satisfied with your photos and memories.
Well done girl!

Hi Patrick
Thanks so much for your kind words. Storm and I had an awesome time. I was planning a Simpson Crossing this year to get to Poeppel Corner and Haddon Corner but I just got a new job so not sure if I'll have the time but my goal now is eventually to get to all the "corners". 1 down - 3 to go!
Most people think I'm crazy but until they get out there and see how wonderful the outback is - they'll never have any idea. As you probably know - you really have to see it with your own eyes - incredible!
Hope we cross paths one day - I'd love to meet some like minded Explore Oz members - everyone seems truly wonderful.
Take care and happy travels :-)

Hi Campergirl,
What a terrific read. You really did have a wonderful time. We may have passed you on the stretch between Hamilton and Eringa - our timing was about right and we passed a solo van like yours. We have also enjoyed watching how your blog is shooting up the most viewed list - amazing, saying that lots of others have really enjoyed your story too. Hope you have many more great trips.
Cheers,
Val

Hi Val
Thank you so much! Shame we didn't realise we were both Explore Oz members when we passed - probably was me though. I seem to be the only one out there in the little Van.
Crazy about how many people are reading the Blog. I wrote it mainly to remind myself of my trip but I'm glad others are enjoying it. Hope it may inspire those who are thinking of outback travel but not sure. With a little planning - anything is possible out there! I proved that!
Hope we cross paths again - although this time - let's stop and have a cuppa!
Take care and happy travels :-)

We head off this coming Friday and will cover some of your path, though from Isa we'll continue heading north up through to the Gulf. 1st time in the outback for us so reading your story has me really itching to get out there and into it.
Wish you well in the Safari (riding a bike I hope) and look forward to reading that adventure as well.

Hi Campergirl,
Very well done. Very Brave & a well written story. You had a bit of luck on your side. Usually Dalhousie Mossies need an Aircraft carrier to land on and are voracious, we called in there for lunch but didn't stay the night.
Storm looked very well looked after but we love dogs & would hate her to take a bait or step on a trap along a fence. Sometimes traps are painted with stricnine & laid along the desert dingo side of the fence. They're not sposed to anymore but there's always the chance.
Birds can carry baits for miles & drop them. We used to muzzle our dogs when traveling & keep them on a lead when walking out of the car. Sounds awful but there is nothing more awful than loosing you faithful friend in that way. I don't mean to put a dampner on your adventurism & I've been picked before but very experienced people have lost their pets this way & by Ticks above the Tickline & in Qld.Take care, safe travels.
With best wishes Ma.
