So after a couple of weekends taking out Arrabella Avan to see how she does -we (Arrabella and I) are nearly ready to set off for the great North West of WA.

I don't have an itinerary at this stage .nor even a scheduled end date. I have only to be back home in the south west by 2 August to celebrate my Dad's 75th birthday- otherwise I am free to go where I wish. It feels surreal to be so unconcerned with where and when. I may be away for two weeks or 8.... I'll just see how I go on my own and see if the life suits or not.

I do have to get to Gerladton to get the landrover serviced at some point in my travels.
At this stage I think I will travel as far as Port Hedland and then look for a shady spot beside some freshwater to camp a while. The DeGRey river looks good but I am open to any suggestions.

So its packing the landrover and van tomorrow...then last minute household duties, bookwork and making sure pets, garden and adult son are all well organised during my absence and hopefully I'll hit the road Thursday... we shall see...

Hello Lee,
Good to hear your off on an adventure, we head off on Wednesday for our Aussie outback adventure, heading from east to west then north. We will be staying at Indee station for a couple of nights which is about 40km east of Port Headland, which sounds like a wag of a spot, happy hour is at five. We might see you on the track.
Safe travels

hey there Lee
I'll be looking out for you - I shouldn't be too far behind you. I was meant to leave tomorrow but I got a bit of a cold - so got put behind a bit - soooooooo, I'll leave next week instead (I hope - still have one car to get rid of). I'll be going as far as Darwin though at this point. I'm on no time schedule once I hit the warm weather :-).

Cheers
