The wind continued to blow in our anchorage at Cape Cleveland, however we managed quite comfortable night thanks to the new "flopped-stoppers". These folding metal plates dampened the roll of the vessel quite effectively. Early in the morning we started out to take advantage of any early morning lull in the wind. But as soon as we cleared the cape we were back into the big swells and wind chop, with seasickness on the vulnerable ones, and the accompanying misery for four hours. Then we arrived at Cape Upstart. What a delightful place this is. We remember it from our childhoods - camping from our family boat. Then it was a deserted beach, pristine with no sign of human habitation. Now there are houses along the beach - squatters we are told. They are said to be under pressure to remove the houses, but there is a power line running along the row of houses- so they are being provided with services. That seems a bit of a contradiction.

Nevertheless the anchorage was perfect - very quiet, and we enjoyed the beach and campfire in the evening.
