To loop or not to loop that is the question - April 23

Happy birthday Elyse. We arrive early in Kalbarri and book into the Murchison caravan park.
As we arrive at our selected site our fellow camper averts a meltdown by giving to us a
jackhammer to pre drill holes for the pegs readily made available by the office and it sure
was needed. At the end of its life it should be mounted in a place of honor as a true
marriage saver.
We explore the region and decide to walk the loop track in the Kalbarri national park late
in the afternoon. I've read that the 9 km loop should take around 3.5 hours to complete
but when we arrive the board suggests 3-5 hours. This would have us possibly returning after
dark so we decide to see how it goes.
When I read the board it suggests what items are required: hat tick
Sunscreen tick water tick sturdy footwear tick good level of fitness hmmm might be a
problem. I feel like Buzz from toy story I might look the part but nothing really works.
We begin and within 20 minutes I look like a beet root, round and bright red. The walk is
spectacular and natures window amazing. Unfortunately we turn back after a few k's
deciding not to risk ending up in the dark. That night Gavern warms his hands from the glow
of my face which remains bright red.
