10/4 goodbye &g'day

Time to say goodbye to the family who are heading back to the realities of life. First pack
goes well until Gavern tries to coil the hose into a bucket. My mother, bless her, offers
hers neatly coiled in a bag. Only problem is where to store in when it's already a tight
squeeze. Problem solved by the ever resourceful husband of mine. Keep your eyes open fellow
travelers for a woman with a bag on her head, African style, driving along. If you look
closely you might see her right hand held out supporting a cup of coffee for the driver.
We've noticed that water is escaping out of the cap of the water tank. Reminds me of my
bladder, a few bumps and out it leaks. When I mention in passing that we could stop at a
caravan store to possibly replace the cap I'm astounded when Gavern replies that he
never would have thought of it. For someone with an exceptional IQ there are times when he
reminds me of my toast in the morning - thick with not much on top.
Driving towards Adelaide it finally happens and we know we're far enough away from
civilization. At 4.42 we get our first iconic Australian outback greeting. The raising of
the index finger to greet a fellow traveller. Gavern takes this as a sign to greet every
person who passes in the opposite direction. Can someone suffer from RSI of the finger?
No Desk, No Boss, No Stress. :)
