Gavern & Sue

Back To Index
Francois Peron national park. We are a little dubious about taking the camper in after
reading the signs but what the heck we've paid for a night and spent a lot on recovery
gear so decide to brave it. Gav does really well in the sandy conditions until he notices
that one of the tyres on the camper is flat. A relatively quick change and we're off
with the tyre strapped to the top of the camper. It managed to fall off twice but putting it
back under where the spare belongs is a nightmare so we put up with stopping and strapping
it back down. Decide not to do the 40kms to the furtherest camp grounds but instead head to
Big lagoon which is only 10kms out. The track is very narrow and only has a few places to
pass. My first attempt at snorkeling goes well but have you ever seen anyone with super fine
hair that's full of salt and there's not enough water to wash it out? Think
Professor Julius Sumner Miller 'Why is it so?' (kids just google it) not a pretty
sight and definitely an indicator that my hat needs to stay firmly on my head until I can
shower.
No Desk, No Boss, No Stress. :)
