Gavern & Sue
Back To Index
Another day where Gav gets up early and heads out to fish. He returns proudly with a dart
in hand which goes down nicely for breakfast. So far that's $3245 per fish. If we
remortgage the house he should be able to fish most days. It's a price we girls have to
pay to get them out of our hair.
So I've taken my sisters vast experience of traveling this country and have packaged
everything into plastic containers or zip lock bags but with all the bumpy roads I notice
that the zip lock bags develop holes in them, including the bag that holds my muesli. I put
this down to bumping against other objects in the drawer of the camper. That was until we
set up camp and when Gavern opened the lid of the kitchen he saw a mouse run from one side(
which holds the container with the muesli in it) and scurry behind the fridge. This
unfortunately sets my brain on a path it would rather not venture, namely was the mouse
nibbling through the bag and eating its contents and when I get up in the morning I too eat
its contents. At this point it would be helpful to a have a photo of the expression on my
face, an extreme grimace at the thought that in amongst my muesli there could have been
mouse droppings. I'm so grossed out that my brain cannot process this and decide that it
was just the bag rubbing against something sharp enough to puncture it, although so far I
haven't found what that is. The worst of it is that I finished its contents this
morning. Yuck
The zip lock bags are now going to find another function. I've asked Gavern to watch me
carefully for any signs of an over attraction to cheese. Hey any things possible.
We spend the day snorkeling and swimming and end at Sandy beach for wine and cheese .
I've ordered Gavern to go fishing as the bait is really starting to pong. Who knows he
just might catch a few fish for dinner.
