Another day in the Isa where Lis went shopping in a pretty posh place

and we did our planned mine tour. A very civilised day with a two and half hour mine tour at one o’clock taking the main focus. Our mine tour was just great which started with us being kitted out in yellow overalls, hard hats, safety belt, lamp and gum boots. An elevator called the alimak cage took us below and we were shown the working of a mine include some operational equipment, the different tasks/roles and how explosives worked. We were all offered a go on the air leg drill to drill a hole which was a hoot. I would recommend this tour to any one interested in the workings of an underground mine. No photos allowed but we have this one,
A new way of life is emerging.
