The Coral Bay Experience.....
Submitted: Friday, Nov 21, 2008 at 20:31
Wow! Coral Bay was just superb. We did a
snorkelling
tour with
Coral bay
Eco
tours
, and swam with some rather large nth west snapper, and also some reef sharks and turtles as well. The glass bottomed boat was a real treat for viewing the masses of coral, while heading out to our prime
snorkelling
destination.
While in
Coral bay
we stayed at the Peoples Van park, which I must say was an absolute pleasure. the amenities were very clean, lots of green grass on the lawns and plenty of palm trees around to add to the atmosphere. We felt more like we were camped on some sort of desert island instead.!! After a couple of days around
Coral Bay
itself, we headed Nth to the 9 mile camp area, for a morning's
fishing
where we weren't let down, and managed a couple of nice "pan sized" Golden Trevally, on soft plastics, and also a couple of small Flathead, but were too small for keepers.
One afternoon, we grabbed the Staun deflaters out and went for a wander in the Patrol along the sand dunes to the Sth of the bay, to check out some more great scenery.
Coral Bay
has been another one of our favs here in WA, and we will prob get back there for another look on our return one day. thoroughlly recommended.
