Last night we had the pleasure of a stopover at Roachie & Annette's place. Jodie and i pushed the Patrol along a bit further than usual today to get to Roachies before dark. We had a wet night previously at Dartmoor, a town that has plenty of chainsaw art in the mainstreet,lifesize figures carved out of old trees by a chap from Geelong.
They were absolutely impressive. After meeting Roachie & Annette,we quickly set up the camper for a quick overnighter, and Roachie cooked up a great BBQ for us while Annette whipped up some divine side dishes in the kitchen. After tea the rest of the night was spent scouring over photos, and some 4wd chat in general and some of the 4wd trips we had all been on.
Roachie's Patrol, is much better in the flesh than in pics, I still cant get over the sound of that big diesel donk!! I hope we can catch up with the Roache's again on our travels someday, great people and top hosts. thank you
