Hi J & V
Thed wide water course near Billiluna is actually the Sturt Creek, thought I would mention that. Jacqui and Bruce Farrands run the Rabbit Flat Roadhouse, but they are shutting their doors permanently on 31st December this year.
Great blog and enjoyed reading it.
Cheers

Hi Marc,
Thank you for your interest and comments. We've amended the text to point to them. Real shame that Bruce and Jacqui are closing up shop, but they have certainly had their aggravations in recent years and have earned some peace and quiet.
Nevertheless, traveling the Tanami won't be the same without the Rabbit Flat stop.
Cheers

Hi John and Val
My apologies, I failed to mention that where you discuss the hilly area where quite a few cattle are about, that is Ruby Plains Station, owned by the Kidman Family.
Anybody travelling through that area needs to ensure they keep their dogs on leashes or ropes, as they constantly bait for dingoes, and it is a terrible suffering even for domestic dogs, with no antidote clsoe enough to save a family pet.
Cheers
