About Me
1987 FJ75 Troopy, 4l petrol; 2 x 90l fuel tanks, motor and gearbox rebuilt at 350,000km. Our universal workhorse and RV since 1990 and 90,000km. Stock standard
suspension.Portable compressor, tools, spares,
recovery gear, Ramsay winch, hi-lift jack.
Custom roofrack carrying tent frame, awning, solar panels, and as required, 2nd spare wheel, 4 x jerry cans and “back pack” containing extra kit and electric outboard.
Storage: Self designed and built
cargo drawers.
Road and Track off-road trailer for extra gear. Includes gas stove, 3 way
fridge,
water tank, battery.
Power: 12volt supply from130Ah and 100Ah auxiliary batteries, 60W+85W solar panels. Several outlets, 12v internal and exterior lighting.
Living quarters: Rear mounted tent, side mounted awning, internal double bed, detachable blackout curtains, insect screens on windows. Folding table and chairs. Spare poly tarps. Folding toilet.
Food and drink:
Waeco 39l
fridge on slide, portable gas stove, folding BBQ, 80l of water carried in 2 x 25l containers and 10 x 3l plastic bottles.
Communication: Codan 8525
HF radio, tapped antenna, GME UHF, Uniden 2W handheld UHF, mobile phone, am/fm radio.
EPIRB.
Navigation: 2 x
GPS, HP e-PC running Oziexplorer, numerous electronic and paper maps Acer Laptop. Compass.
Recreation: Sevylor 12 foot inflatable boat with MinKota electric outboard, Lumix FZ20 5MP and FZ50 10MP digital cameras.
