RV Cab Chassis (HDJ79R) 2006

G'day, I drive a HDJ79R RV Landcruiser Ute which I have had since new.
Since 2006 she has taken me far and wide across the deserts of
and even to Far
. Visiting remote
visited by some of our
and desert travel are my preferred type of touring.
Problems with the vehicle have been minimal, and I think it is a great vehicle for the various types of country I have taken her through. The ODO has just clicked over 150,000 km.
Ute Factory Options from new:
Heavy Duty Steel Tray
Standard Alloy 16 inch x 5.
Front and Rear Springs (mainly due to restricted articulation)
Tray lift to accommodate spare wheel
Cab rack wheel mount
ARB Delux Steel Bull Bar - Colour Coded
ARB Side Rails and Steps - Colour Coded
2 Front Tow Hooks
Extra fuel & water jerries.
2 or 3 x waterproof Spacecases are bolted to the tray, filled with food, clothing and misc. items of varying weight.
Long handled shovel.
I also have a 2012 Arctic Cat 700 Diesel 4WD All Terrain Vehicle (which can just fit on the back of the ute with room for space-cases alongside). I bought this as a companion vehicle which I have used once long distance desert touring, and reaching those interesting spots that would take longer in the ute.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 running
for digital navigation and an old HP PDA running
as a backup.
Messenger (for relaying current position to internet and for emergencies).
Bushranger Max-Air II Air Compressor plus full tyre repair kit.
Quell 1kg Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher.
GME TX3420 40 Channel UHF.
Since 2010 my pet dog Massie has accompanied me on my trips.
